Evie was just 7 years old when she was diagnosed with a Pilocytic Astrocytoma Brain Tumor in late December 2023 after becoming unconscious at home one evening. After a life saving brain surgery in Las Vegas she was life flighted to Primary Children's in Salt Lake City where she had a 10 hour tumor de-bulking surgery. The surgeons were unable to resect the entire tumor so after 40 days in the hospital, learning how to walk, talk, and eat again, she began her 12 month chemotherapy protocol with Cure 4 the Kids back home in Vegas.
Evie has an amazing support system in Las Vegas that has helped her tackle the hardest year of her life. Her family is so blessed to be done with chemo and she is excited to be able to swim in the ocean, do gymnastics and play with her brothers!
